Meghan Markle pulls out of royal tour engagement at the last minute

Meeting Meghan at a reception in Sydney hosted by the Governor-General, Missy wrote: "What an honour to meet the handsome Duchess today!"

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, talking on stage during the Invictus Games Opening Ceremony.

"The Duke will attend the cycling as scheduled this morning, and The Duchess will join him for this afternoon's engagements", the statement continued.

Later today, there will be an official reception for competitors, their friends and family at an event hosted by Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry haven't always stuck to what's royally "traditional" in their relationship, and that includes their decision to flaunt PDA while doing their royal duties.

A source told the publication that it wasn't that Meghan was feeling sick, they are just trying to "pace" her given how many engagements she has coming up.

After giving his opening ceremony speech, Harry rejoined his wife in the audience, where the Duchess of Sussex was photographed lovingly holding on to her husband during the remainder of the event.

"She was jetlagged and she just got up, did her yoga in the house and that was enough to give her the energy to get her through the day".

The source added: "We want to make sure she gets enough rest at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day".

Prince Harry stepped out solo for the first time since the tour began in Australia last Tuesday.

Meghan is now expected to skip some of the events during the couple's planned visit to Fraser Island on Monday.

Kensington Palace has not clarified to date whether the Duchess will carry on her full itinerary at upcoming stops in Fiji and Tonga.

It's not often that the royals flaunt PDA, but once in a while, we see Prince Harry/Meghan Markle and Prince Williams/Kate Middleton showing each other love in public.

"In the isolation and darkness of the night, where doubt and hopelessness surround, and when they look deep into themselves and answer the phone that torments them at this time with the cry "I will not be overcome".
