OnePlus 6T specs and official images leaked, launching on 29 October

Since the Indian pricing for the phone also leaked last week, there really isn't too much else left about the phone that is an enigma anymore. Thanks to a fresh set of leaks from a tipster, we can see the alleged specifications and images of the OnePlus 6T. The camera department will feature 16MP + 20MP rear shooter along with a 20MP selfie shooter. In addition, the display has been coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for extra protection. While the Oppo R17 was exclusive to China, OnePlus will be bringing the tech to masses out there.

OnePlus 6T, the next flagship smartphone from OnePlus, will be officially launched tomorrow. In fact, the phone will be available for pre-order from 30 October onwards. Notably, OnePlus 6T has been teased by the company several times over the past month or so, and a few features have already been confirmed, including an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, no 3.5mm headphone jack, a larger 3,700mAh battery, and a few other things.

The same leaker posted the purported European prices for the handset on Twitter, claiming the phone will arrive in three variants when it comes to RAM and storage combinations, including 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB.

OnePlus started with the "T" model of smartphones from the OnePlus 3T back in 2016 and since has produced two phones per year. To be honest, even 6GB of RAM sounds like overkill, so you may be better off with the cheapest option. Level of specificity, we find the now well-known Snapdragon 845 with 8 Gb of RAM: what is the position of the next premium.

Key improvements in the OnePlus 6T include an in-display fingerprint sensor and reduced "Waterdrop" screen notch. The Poco phone is cheaper, and although it doesn't seem to be the kind of high-end product that a phone like OnePlus 6 is - or the OnePlus 6T is expected to be - OnePlus will still want to price the OnePlus 6T closer to Rs 35,000 instead of inching towards Rs 40,000. The phone will be backed by a 3700mAh battery. It is also expected to boast faster Warp Charge (aka Dash Charge) technology.

As per the leak, the OnePlus 6T features a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 20-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and flash.

The superior quality customizable skins are made exclusively for OnePlus 6T. It's also poised to run the latest version of Android - Pie 9.0 - right out of the box.
