Cleveland Browns fire head coach Hue Jackson after three wins in 40

On the same day the Cleveland Browns reportedly fired head coach Hue Jackson, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports the team is also moving on from offensive coordinator Todd Haley.

The announcement comes after the Cleveland Browns lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 33-18 Sunday, making it their third straight loss.

The Browns became only the second side to go through a 16-game National Football League season without winning last year, having gone 1-15 in Jackson's first season in charge the year before.

Hue Jackson was determined to revive the Cleveland Browns' franchise.

It's not immediately clear who will fill in for Jackson for the rest of this season. The past five Browns' head coaches - Romeo Crennel, Eric Mangini, Pat Shurmur, Rob Chudzinski and Mike Pettine - were all fired after the second Steelers game of that season.

After losing two key coaches on offense this past offseason - Greg Olson and Matt LaFleur - the Los Angeles Rams could have another coach of interest to the Cleveland Browns. "I never said I wanted to take over play-calling".

And by moving on from Jackson and Haley, Haslam said he believed the organization took a "big step" in ridding the "internal discord" that can compound the already hard task of winning in the NFL. We're pretty sure Wylie Coyote thinks Halloween is for yoga lovers and devil worshippers (not mutually exclusive), but something tells us even he would have a good chortle over this one. Riley certainly falls under that category, and he led Oklahoma to the Rose Bowl in his first season as head coach past year and has them in contention for a College Football Playoff spot again this season. The only thing that is going on is that we need to get better.
