Spice Girls return, minus Posh, for United Kingdom tour next summer

"2 Become 1" was the Spice Girls' third single, and was the UK Christmas number one single in 1996.

Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton, Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell Horner, Melanie "Mel C" Chisholm and Melanie "Mel B" Brown announced their United Kingdom reunion tour Monday on the official Spice Girls Twitter account.

Not sure if you've heard, but the Spice Girls are back with a reunion tour.

The Spice Girls, who formed in 1994 and became one of the most successful acts of the nineties, have not performed together since the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012.

The girl group will kick off the tour at Manchester's Etihad Stadium on 1 June 2019, with tickets for all dates going on sale on Saturday at 10.30 GMT. "The hopes are that we go everywhere else in the world, but right now it's just the United Kingdom".

Asked if they are heading back on tour, she said: "Yeah we are".

Mel B hinted at the tour minus Beckham last week on Halloween when she went dressed as her with the placard 'No I am not going on tour'.

Victoria Beckham, however, will not be taking part.

Because, this time around, the pop star formerly known as Posh Spice won't be joining them on stage. After all, she has said time and again that she doesn't want to go on tour.

"Everything will be announced just after three o'clock on social media".

The Spice Girls are asking fans, "Say You'll Be There". "Tickets on sale Saturday 10.30am".

The group previously performed as a four-piece for two years after Geri quit the band in 1998.

Each band member is said to have received £10m to promote a new greatest hits album, along with other still-to-be-announced endorsements. While several years have passed since that wonderful Olympic performance, recently whispers started spreading that the iconic group would be returning to the music scene with a brand new tour.

"Well, we'll see about that one", she said.
