The musician appeared on a YouTube video alongside his bandmate Brad Fischetti in October 2017, where they asked fans for prayers and "positive vibes" for Lima.

Brad Fischetti, who is now the last remaining group member, had announced Lima's diagnosis with a heavy heat lifted.

LFO are known for their hits "Summer Girls", "Girl on TV" and "Every Other Time".

Lima was first diagnosed with cancer after doctors reportedly found a large tumor that was pressing on a number of his internal organs. He had been battling adrenal cancer since previous year. According to TMZ, doctors discovered a "football-sized tumor" on his adrenal gland.

"Devin asked me to give you this update without him because, frankly, he's just not feeling very well". He shared that Lima had the tumor and his kidney removed during his operation, but doctors were anxious that Lima still had cancerous cells in his body. It's devastating news, but at the same time, there's nobody I know who's stronger than Devin. "No one has a stronger body, mind or soul".

Lima, whose real first name is Harold, was born in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Girl On TV singer passed away on Wednesday after a year long fight with stage 4 cancer. He added that Lima would be going through chemotherapy and radiation.

Aside from being a singer, Lima was also in the movie Longshot, and on the television show All That. The group was considering reuniting on tour after releasing new music in the summer of 2017.
