National Basketball Association fines Warriors’ Durant $25,000 for cursing out fan

The Warriors star said he knew he was going to get fined by the National Basketball Association, but asked Haynes how much it was.

According to the league, the exchange occurred during the first quarter of the Warriors' 112-109 loss to the Mavericks on Saturday. Grown men can't come to games and heckle grown men.

A cell phone video of the confrontation obtained by TMZ Sports showed Durant walking to the spectator's courtside seat behind a basket and say: "Watch the. game and shut the. up".

Speaking with Yahoo's Chris Haynes, Durant said that he understood Green's personality and that he had decided not to let the dust-up affect him moving forward, presumably toward their ultimate goal of another championship. "That's corny. That's weak". "You weak! Draymond this, Draymond that, you a b-.' You're going to sleep doing that as a grown man to another person?" "(If) you're coming to a game to heckle another grown man - 'You soft!

It has been reported the Dallas fan, who was sitting underneath the basket, bombarded Durant - one of the NBA's biggest stars - with insults both before and after he delivered the expletive-laden outburst.

Green was the only player suspended for a game (without pay) against the Atlanta Hawks after his November 12 altercation with Durant. He did score 32 points in the loss to the Mavericks, but missed all four of his 3-point attempts.
