OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition announced with 10GB of RAM

If you fancy having a OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition in your pocket then expect to pay a little more than a standard 6T.

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition has been unveiled globally, and the Chinese company has provided a price in British pounds.

OnePlus has always tried to sneak in a secret message or a feature inside its special edition phones, (remember the cool OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition trick?) and the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition also has one. The McLaren edition isn't your average black smartphone, however. The Warp Charge 30 power unit includes a Papaya Orange braided cord cable.

OnePlus and McLaren, the racing and technology brand and creator of luxury, high-performance sports cars and supercars, launched the superfast and ultrapowerful OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. There is more McLaren stuff in the box as well. According to OnePlus, you can add a full day's power to the OnePlus 6T McLaren edition after just 20 minutes of charging. For the U.S., if OnePlus sticks on the same path it's taking with EE, it's more likely to roll out a 5G phone on T-Mobile or Sprint than on AT&T or Verizon. There is an outer slip that states Salute to Speed in bold black letters with the OnePlus logo in the bottom left and McLaren log with Speedmark in the bottom right.

Finally, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition box contains a McLaren logo - called Speedmark - made out of McLaren designed F1 AA-grade carbon fibre, which is said to be the same material used in the McLaren MCL33 2018 Formula 1 auto. This piece includes and embedded McLaren logo, the Speedmark, recreated in McLaren-designed F1 AA grade carbon fiber - the same material used in the McLaren MCL33 2018 Formula 1 auto.

There's also a new pattern underneath the glass back of the phone which is based on McLaren's groundbreaking carbon fibre. Thanks to the new charger and battery design, as well as a finely tuned power management system, power flows to the handset without slowing down even when the device is being used, or generating excessive heat. This is created to represent the speedtail left when a McLaren auto races past - traditionally, McLaren has used orange as the colour for its race cars. The phone will be available in Western Europe and North America from December 13 at a price of £649, which is Rs 58,865 on conversion. It also remains to be seen how the company manages to entice buyers to spend the extra bucks on the McLaren Edition.
