Kingdom Hearts 3 director reassures fans after the game leaks early

Kingdom Hearts III got leaked over one month ahead of its intended release. In addition, copies of the game have reportedly been misappropriated and sold on Facebook Marketplace.

Visitors can also pre-order the game using kiosks, which is set for release on January 29 2019. Mods on the Kingdom Hearts subreddit are threatening to ban players who ask for copies of the leak or post links to sites with the leaks.

Tetsuya Nomura, the director for the new Kingdom Hearts game that's scheduled to be out on January 29th, responded to the game's leak via a tweet from the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account.

"For fabs concerned with spoilers, Nomura did note that the long-awaited sequel's epilogue and secret movie - which are the biggest spoilers in this game" - are not yet included in the copy behind the leaks. Thank you very much'.

If you're a Kingdom Hearts fan eagerly awaiting the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 in around 5 weeks time, you might want to be a little cautious of spoilers for a while. At this stage, there's really nothing anyone can do other than to be aware that spoilers exist, and hopefully you'll be able to avoid them. We are also aware as to how this has all happened.

You can pre-order the Limited Edition Kingdom Hearts 3 PlayStation 4 Pro Bundle at GameStop in the U.S. and GAME in the UK, the exclusive retailers for their respective regions.

"We're sorry to see this caused concern amongst our fans who are excited for the release", he said.
