Once the Seahawks clinched a Wild Card berth, there were plenty of Rams fans that wondered if there would be a third meeting between these NFC West rivals, which most likely would have been quite the intense battle.

K.J. Wright intercepted Dak Prescott's pass in the end zone stopping a Dallas drive that was gaining momentum.

The comeback never came.

The loss ended a run of nine straight victories in playoff openers for the Seahawks (10-7). He had 20 catches for 295 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season.

The Seahawks' offense showed plenty to cause concern in the first quarter. Punter Michael Dickson's drop kick was caught by Cole Beasley at the Dallas 31, sealing the first playoff win for the Cowboys since beating Detroit in the wild-card round in the 2014 season. The Cowboys struck first with a 39-yard field goal.

Tavon Austin told Slater that some Cowboys players were going to try and visit Hurns on Sunday.

Cowboys receiver Allen Hurns appeared to suffer a severe lower left leg injury in the first quarter. As hard as the injury was to see, Hurns is expected to be ready to return to football by August if there no complications or anything out of the ordinary.

After nine offensive plays from scrimmage, five yards of total offense and no first downs in the first quarter, the Seahawks had a much better start to the second quarter.

Russell Wilson quickly found Tyler Lockett for a 53-yard pass play to put Seattle at the 13.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns (17) is taken from the field after injuring his leg against the Seahawks.

But the missing kicker left the Seahawks no good options on an onside kick with 1:18 remaining.

That advantage didn't last long.
