Trevor Lawrence's girlfriend predicted Clemson title in 2017

The Anderson University (S.C.) soccer player, who has been dating Clemson's quarterback since early 2016, predicted Lawrence would be a champion two years before he and the Tigers steamrolled Nick Saban's Crimson Tide, 44-16.

Nearly exactly two years to the day, of course, Lawrence and the Tigers are national champs, having embarrassed Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide dynasty on a national stage.

The Tigers head coach was obviously thrilled during his postgame interview, after his football team captured a second championship in three seasons, and a second time as the underdog, TigerNet noted.

Tua Tagovailoa passed for 295 yards and two TD's but was intercepted twice, including a pick-six.

Clemson made history Monday night by becoming the first 15-0 team in modern college football history.

Lawrence threw for 347 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, and he will have a lot of help returning on offense too with running back Travis Etienne and wide receiver Justyn Ross.

Clemson is the first opponent to beat the Tide by more than 14 points since Saban became coach in 2007.

It was a historic season for Clemson, as according to ESPN, they were the first team to go undefeated and win the National Title, ever since the NCAA went to the playoff system five years ago.
