The Premier League leaders travel to West Ham on Monday with a two-point advantage over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

Joel Matip is set to continue to partner Virgil van Dijk at centre-half, with Dejan Lovren only recently back from the hamstring injury he picked up last month.

For West Ham fans it is the torture of deciding the lesser of two evils between Spurs and Liverpool when it comes to their preferred destination for the league title this season. "It is good to be back in front of our home supporters tonight and we are looking forward to what will be another magnificent atmosphere at London Stadium".

Jurgen Klopp provided an update over the latter when the Liverpool boss addressed the media ahead of the contest.

This meant that Joe Gomez would not be able to face West Ham United and also miss out Liverpool's Champions League clash vs Bayern Munich at Anfield.

Most see the title race as a shootout between Liverpool and City. In the end, the game remained level, but the incident has not gone unnoticed by other Premier League teams.

Liverpool have got an incredible record against the London side and have scored four past them in their last four games in a row.

Klopp, the 51-year-old Liverpool manager, vowed to attack both competitions with the same intensity rather than prioritising one. Their most potent goal threat, Marko Arnautovic, is expected to have recovered from injury in time for this match. However, they have shown the desire and determination to carve out results while not being at their fluent best.

'After that, if we can give a hand to Manchester City, it's not our problem, but of course I am a fan of Manchester City also'.
