Four people were killed during a shooting Monday at a home near the western MI town of Cedar Springs, according to the Kent County Sheriff's Office.

Four people were shot to death in central MI in what investigators say may have been a murder-suicide.

The sheriff confirmed that four victims were discovered deceased inside the home, all from gunshot wounds.

Sheriff Michelle LaJoye-Young told media the three children were primary school age and younger. LaJoye-Young asked neighbours with surveillance cameras pointed toward the property to share clues with the sheriff's department. "We can confirm 4 casualties however we do not believe there is an active threat to community safety", police said on their Twitter page. The shooting happened around 19 Mile Road near Division Avenue. Authorities didn't say how or if the victims were related.

WOOD-TV reports that family members identified the children as 2-year-old Alanah Moore, 6-year-old Cassidy Graham and 8-year-old Kyrie Graham and the woman as Aubrianne Moore.
