Canceled Xbox game Scalebound could be Switch-bound, according to new report

Fans craving an exciting game with massive dragons at its lead were severely disappointed in early 2017 when Scalebound was officially canceled.

Sony's PlayStation VR seems to have picked up some momentum recently, with titles like Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Beat Saber earning critical acclaim, after the peripheral experienced a slow start. But there's a game that's thought to be dead that Nintendo's reviving, and it's not one that people would expect.

Anyway, this doesn't mean that a "new" Scalebound is being worked on at Platinum Games exclusively for Nintendo Switch. A year later, however, something happened.

Scalebound, the large-scale RPG which was set to see human and dragon fight alongside each other, might be making a comeback according to a report from NintendoInsider, who has heard from sources that Nintendo will be bringing the title back from the dead for the Nintendo Switch. After the release, representatives of the company said that they temporarily abandoned the idea for a number of technological reasons.

Maybe it is true ‍♀️.

As claimed by Nintendo Insider's Alex Seedhouse, Nintendo was reviving the title and was working with PlatinumGames to release Scalebound on the Nintendo Switch. Fate brings them together as they must fight the evil forces which plague the land of Draconis. What remains to be seen is how the game developers will make it work on the Switch; Scalebound was originally designed for the more powerful Xbox One, after all.
