Serge Ibaka, Marquese Chriss ejected after ugly fight

Serge Ibaka and Marquese Chriss traded blows on the court as the National Basketball Association clash between Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers descended into chaos on Monday night.

It appears that Chriss said something to Ibaka while he was on the floor and it was that comment that set the 29-year-old power forward off. Ibaka responded by jumping to his feet and putting his arm around Chriss' throat, which led to the two exchanging punches.

The Cavaliers went on to win 126-101 and boost their record to 17-50 in the process. Both were promptly ejected from the game. Everybody nearly wants to run out there and check what's going on. Which isn't to say that Nick Nurse didn't try, from varied lineup combinations to find a spark, to an early stint of zone defense in the first quarter which briefly seemed to get the Raptors' attention and spurred a run to close the gap.

"That was a great win for us", Love said.

Despite a less-than-stellar performance in the first 24 minutes, the Raptors entered the half down just four points.

By the Numbers - 13 ... straight games that the Cavaliers have drilled double-digit three-pointers - dating back to February 8 - averaging 15.1 threes per contest over that span.

Cavaliers coach Larry Drew said he was not surprised the players were ejected. Norman Powell's pass sailed out of bounds at the other end, and Ibaka, who was tangled with Chriss, leaped for it and fell. The Washington product has averaged 7.9 points per game in three National Basketball Association seasons. I really didn't get to see it until the final five seconds'. "Listen, it's always going to be concerning when something like that happens". We don't want to lose one of our guys for incidents like that'.
