Apple Music Launches on Amazon Fire TV

"We're excited to announce that Apple Music will be available on Echo devices beginning the week of December 17".

For now, the integration of Apple Music into Amazon devices only works within the United States. These launches are a clear sign that the tech behemoth is looking to draw as many customers as it can to increase subscription of its various services, including Apple Music.

Apple Music has been available on your run-of-the-mill Alexa devices, namely Echo and Dot and the like, for a while now. Here's how to get it up and running on your Amazon set-top box or dongle right now.

All of the above offer access to thousands of apps and games, and nearly every streaming service you could want, while the latest generations provide extra goodies like 4K streaming and Alexa-powered voice search.

"Apple Music subscribers will be able to enjoy Apple Music's 50 million songs on Echo devices".

Once it's activated, you'll be able to issue commands like "Alexa, play today's hits on Apple Music" to your Fire TV. It supports regular HD streaming, and now comes with a beefed up Alexa voice remote bundled in (as long as you purchase it directly from Amazon).

Select the "Enable" button to enable the skill.

Apple Music subscribers simply need to link their accounts to Alexa and they are good to go. Apple Music on Google Home was eventually pulled offline even before it became active.

If it's working correctly, you'll hear something like: "Playing your song on Apple Music".

Which Fire TV Stick is best? Late past year, Apple Music began streaming support for the Echo as well. After your free trial, Amazon Prime is just £7.99 a month, but if that seems like too much you can cancel anytime.
