Cardi B Files Trademark for ‘Okurrr’ Catchphrase

We hope that Cardi B has much success in securing her trademark and catching those coins.

Cardi B talks fame, family and whether she'll ever get back together with Offset in the March 2019 issue of Harpers Bazaar.

The New York-born star peppers the phrase throughout her Grammy-winning debut album, Invasion of Privacy.

She also plans to put the phrase on "clothing, namely, T-shirts, sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, pants, shorts, jackets, footwear, headgear, namely hats and caps, blouses, bodysuits, dresses, jumpsuits, leggings, shirts, sweaters, undergarments", per records obtained by Page Six on Thursday. "Okurrr" will also be featured on a soon-to-be-released clothing like that features trousers, shirts and hoodies.

Also reported by The Blast, Veronica is requesting all documentation over private communications with Jay-Z and Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles.

"You know, it's like a cold pigeon in New York City".

Cardi's trademark application helpfully clarified that "Okurrr" is correctly spelled with three Rs. "Like if somebody checks somebody it's like 'Okurrr'".

The 30-second commercial, which was of course titled "Okurrr" shows the "I Like It" rapper playfully reassuring diner customers that Pepsi is, in fact, okay to drink... though it takes them a bit to understand what sound she's making.

That being said, one of her signature words 'okurrr, ' has perhaps become slang that people have adopted themselves and like to use.
