Lucas Moura celebrated his first hat-trick in Europe and the first hat-trick at the newly built Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with his infant son on Saturday afternoon, in front of a crowd of adoring Spurs fans.

The England worldwide was substituted with an ankle injury after 58 minutes of his side's 1-0 win over Manchester City in the first leg of their quarter-final tie on Tuesday.

Pochettino's understudies filled in nicely as Kenya midfielder Victor Wanyama rolled in the opener before Brazilian forward Lucas took centre-stage with an eye-catching treble.

"The England midfielder will now be assessed to determine his availability for this weekend's fixture against Huddersfield Town".

It would be a big blow to Spurs who - despite holding a slender advantage in the tie - are facing a Man City side who have been formidable at home all season long.

For Huddersfield, who saw Juninho Bacuna's free-kick tipped onto the crossbar, this was their 19th defeat in 21 matches as they count down the matches until their Premier League journey ends.

All three are continuing on-field rehabilitation and the club are hopeful they will be back available for selection soon as Tottenham continue to fight for a place in the top-four and a spot in the Champions League semi-finals.

The England captain, who has scored 24 goals in all competitions this season, left the club's new stadium on crutches with a protective boot on his foot.

All eyes were on Fernando Llorente and Lucas to see if they could fill the gap left by Kane and Son up front.

"We have to make sure the players on the pitch have full energy".

Three minutes later, Tottenham struck again.

That goal opened the floodgates, as Moura was then played in by the brilliant Moussa Sissoko and he smashed home across goal to double Spurs' lead.

But Tottenham was in control from the start.

He still had time to complete the hat trick as he lashed a shot from a tight angle into the top corner in injury time.
