New Pokémon Sword and Shield trailer shows off Galarian forms, Team Yell

Today, we learned that Pokemon Sword and Shield both have Galarian forms, as well as more information about our rivals, in the latest trailer for the upcoming game.

The most recent Galar Research Update brought news on Gigantamaxing, the Galar Pokemon League, and on the game's Gym Leaders, among other details. Marnie, meanwhile, is a much cooler-looking girl with a rocker aesthetic.

Nintendo gave a first look at new rivals too, with the still-mysterious Bede, and a young goth woman called Marnie.

After the form of Alola seen in Pokemon Sole and Luna, therefore, the Game Freak has made a decision to continue to propose the regional forms, introducing in the case of Pokemon Sword and Shield the forms of Galar.

Galarian Weezing is changed to have huge smokestacks coming out of its head in the shape of smokestacks and green smog floating on its face to give the appearance of facial hair. Galarian Weezing looks like a double smokestack reminiscent of the Industrial Revolution, coming in as a Poison/Fairy type.

There's also an adorable silver/black-colored Galarian form of Zigzagoon and Linoone as well as its brand-new evolution Obstagoon.

In addition to Galarian Form Pokemon, there are also new Pokemon that can change their form in the heat of battle, changing the typing of their moves or even their ability. Morpeko in Full belly form is Electric, and in Hangry Mode he is Dark!

We're still three months out from the release date, and whether for the game or against, there's plenty of eyes locked onto whatever announcement we get for Sword and Shield.
