Samsung showcases Exynos 9825 moments before Galaxy Note 10 launch

The Exynos 9820 which powers the Galaxy S10 series is an 8nm processor, so the biggest change here is the switch to a smaller node size.

The new Exynos 9825 is a fairly decent upgrade and seems ideal for a device like the Note 10. Featuring the industry's first 7nm EUV processing technology, the Exynos 9825 is equipped with an advanced neural processing unit (NPU) for powerful AI experiences, including personalized voice assistants and intelligent camera features. The new flagship SoC with this new process is claimed to be more faster and power-efficient processor. "Equipped with an advanced neural processing unit, it's also delivering powerful AI experiences including personalized voice assistants and intelligent camera features, so you always get the flawless shot". It features the Mali-G76 MP12 GPU. Morevover, the Exynos 9825 SoC comes with 5G capabilites with Exynos Modem 5100, developed by Samsung alongside the conventional 4G LTE capabilities. "While PUF provides the unique key, secure key manager supports other security protocols, such as key generation, storage and derivation", said the company.

It supports up to 8K video encoding at 30FPS, 4K encoding at 150FPS, and 10-bit HEVC (H.265) codec and can play back 4K HDR10+ media.

The Exynos 9825 support dual camera (16MP + 16MP), a front camera of 22MP and a rear camera of 22MP.

Now that the Galaxy Active Watch 2 and Galaxy Tab S6 have been announced, the focus of the event will be squarely on the Note 10.

Its first foldable phone, the Galaxy Fold, is set to go on sale from September, but analysts say headlines about glitches with sample Folds will dampen consumer excitement around the launch.

Samsung unveiled a new version of the Galaxy Note smartphone on Wednesday with fast 5G network connection and improved camera features, hoping the premium model helps it revive slumping profit and widen the gap with struggling rival Huawei.
