Police in Vanderbijlpark, a town south of Gauteng, have been working tirelessly, in trying to locate the whereabouts of Amy-Lee de Jager.

De Jager was described as having brown eyes and brown hair.

"They then put her inside a white Toyota Fortuner and sped off.as it is we don't know if the kidnappers are known to the family", he told IOL.

CCTV cameras captured the incident and police are now in search of a white Toyota Fortuner that was seen in the area between 07:00 and 08:00 on Monday morning.

De Jager's kidnappers have made contact with the family and different WhatsApp groups say the kidnappers are demanding an alleged R2m, Lindeque notes.

"We don't have any further information", the family member said.

"He's keeping his line open for any possible information the kidnappers or the police can provide", one of his colleagues said.

Amy-Lee de Jager's grandfather Martin Brouwer has told Eyewitness News that the little girl's mother is helping police to go through this morning's sequence of events.

Several Fortuners were pulled over during the morning, without finding the child as yet.
