The Galaxy Fold would be Samsung's first iteration for a foldable smart device in its company's rivals are also racing to make.

Samsung has added a new device to its 5G smartphone portfolio today - the Galaxy A90 5G.

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy M30s is now confirmed to be launching in India on September 18. It's only a mid-range smartphone but will come with nearly premium specs and features starting with a 6.4-inch screen, 2400×1080 resolution (FHD), Exynos 9610 processor, 64GB or 128GB onboard storage, and 4GB or 6GB of RAM. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.

It's believed the mentioned octa-core processor will be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 SoC, mirroring the use of a Qualcomm chip on the former flagship A70.

On its rear, this phone has a powerful 48MP camera alongside a 5MP depth sensor and an ultra-wide 8MP lens. It also features Samsung's 25W fast charging and has a 4,500mAh battery.

Available in black or white, the phone has a 6.7in 1080x2400-pixel AMOLED display.

The Galaxy A90 5G specs show it's just a rung down from the new premium Galaxy S10 and Note devices. For example, AT&T are again advertising the Samsung Galaxy Fold to buy outright for $1,980 or for $65.99 over 30 months (interest free payments) for existing customers. On the outside, it will have two cameras that face the rear when the phone is open or the front when it's flipped closed. It is also the first Galaxy A-series smartphone to launch with support for Samsung's desktop experience interface, DeX. Samsung's A-series are known to be more affordable compared to the top of the line, flagship devices.

The Galaxy A90 5G launches in Korea on September 4, with United Kingdom customers able to pick it up from store shelves the following month, on October 4, 2019.

Samsung's U.S. homepage received tech fans' attention as a flashing signup banner for initial sales was visible in the top right corner of the site, hinting that presales for the United States market would begin soon as well. Now, the company is marching towards a new release date.
