Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PS4 exclusive beta arrives September 12

In addition to Gears 5, the 436.30 driver package is tuned to deliver the best performance in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare open beta, Borderlands 3, The Surge 2, Federation Internationale de Football Association 20, and Code Vein. However, not everyone will be able to play the beta at the same time. This gives you a two day headstart on the open beta which runs from 14th-16th September, letting you get into the game early on Thursday 12th September.

PlayStation Plus is needed in "some territories".

The first two days of the weekend - Thursday, September 12, and Friday, September 13 - are available for early access to players who have pre-ordered Modern Warfare on PS4.

Players can download the Modern Warfare beta from their store and it should be free for all players.

The PC open beta starts on September 19 and runs through the morning of September 23.

The second beta period is for Xbox, PS4, and PC users. Once they do, though, there will only be an extra ten levels to achieve during the beta and more games modes will be unlocked for all platforms - if the leaker is to be believed. The game, which is the first installment in the Modern Warfare series since 2011, has already been shown off by streamers and content creators - while PlayStation 4 owners got their hands on the 2v2 Gunfight alpha. Right on cue, Nvidia has made available a new "Game Ready" GPU driver that brings performance optimizations Gears 5 and other games, to GeForce graphics card owners.

"Head to the and login with your COD account". The exact time for when the beta will go offline hasn't been announced. Codes can be entered via the store using the redeem code feature.

You will be able to preload the Beta prior to Thursday, September 12, (PS4 only).

According to Activision, who offered Beta details on their official Games Blog, the Beta will let players try out new gameplay mechanics that sets Modern Warfare apart from previous entries, including "bullet penetration, gun mounting, door breaching and night vision multiplayer gameplay maps".
