The next Apple Watch will also come loaded with watchOS 6 straight out of the box. But where last year's Series 4 represented a major shift in design and added ECG capabilities, this year's model focuses on software. As yet we don't know exactly when watchOS 6 will get pushed out, but it won't be long. All these are pretty incremental, but at the same time somewhat overdue. That's cool and all, though the Apple Watch still doesn't have a dedicated watch face store like most of its competitors.

The new OS will also debut several watch faces, including Meridian, Modular Compact, and Solar Dial. Now automatic emergency calling is worldwide, so you can quickly contact emergency services in a number of countries. Apple also noted you'll be able to opt into a new health research app.

There have also been a few tweaks to the health, safety and Maps apps, though they aren't much to show about in our humble opinion. Apple emphasised privacy would be paramount for those who do, and that data would be anonymised. The Series 4 and Series 3 wearables are going to stay on sale at reduced prices. The screen is dimmed in always-on display mode, but you can raise your wrist or tap on the screen to brighten it back up. What this display would do is switch from 60Hz to 1Hz dynamically according to the display and what is being displayed on the device.

Also Series 5 also brings is a new material option for the shell - titanium. The battery life is the same and there's still no native sleep tracking.

Building further on the emergency calling feature which debuted on the Apple Watch Series 4 previous year, Apple is adding global emergency calling to the Series 5 but it is limited to the cellular variant only.

That figure is only set to enhance with the new Check out Series 5 thanks to style upgrades, a new always-on screen and new wellbeing options.

The new Apple Watch Series 5 also features more navigation tools, including the built-in compass.

In the United States, the Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS) starts at $399 (roughly Rs. 28,700) and Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS + Cellular) starts at $499 (roughly Rs. 38,900).

They will be available to buy on the 20th of September.
