Appearing on "America's News GQ" Saturday morning, Giuliani said that despite widespread reports of his impending legal peril, he was not the least bit anxious about the prospect of being indicted.

"I don't talk to you in this lifetime or the next lifetime", the California Republican said.

Giuliani is now dealing with his own investigation federal investigations following claims that he possibly engaged in illegal lobbying and campaign finance violations.

Calls for Republican Rep. Devin Nunes to resign spread rapidly on social media Friday night following reports that Lev Parnas, an indicted associate of President Donald Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, is willing to testify to House impeachment investigators that Nunes met with a former Ukrainian prosecutor in an effort to dig up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden.

House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA) announced Friday night that he is filing a lawsuit against CNN over a report that they published the same evening that alleged an indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani was willing to testify to Congress that Nunes met with a former Ukrainian prosecutor a year ago to discuss digging up dirt on former Vice President and current Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.

The State Department released the documents to the left-wing activist group American Oversight in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit.

After several months of Giuliani's smear campaign against Yovanovitch, the ambassador was told on April 24 to "get on the next plane" back to the U.S. She was subsequently removed from her position despite being widely regarded as a highly capable diplomat at the State Department. The records showed that Giuliani and Pompeo were scheduled to speak on the phone once on March 26, before the email exchange, and again on March 29.

The documents show "a clear paper trail from Rudy Giuliani to the Oval Office to Secretary Pompeo to facilitate Giuliani's smear campaign against a U.S. ambassador", Austin Evers, executive director American Oversight, said.

Shokin himself claims he was sacked at the behest of the former vice president to ease pressure on Burisma and Hunter Biden. She was withdrawn from her post in Ukraine in May.

The documents released Friday also include materials that appear to be the information packet that Giuliani handed off to the State Department.

Parnas' attorney Joseph Bondy told CNN Friday that his client "learned from former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin that Nunes had met with Shokin in Vienna last December", news that sparked the trending Twitter hashtag #NunesResign.

An impeachment inquiry is being conducted over allegations Trump held up aid to Ukraine to encourage its leaders to launch an investigation into Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, who worked as an energy executive in that country.

Mr Lutsenko is quoted raising questions about compensation that Hunter Biden received from Ukrainian oil company Burisma.
