The news of her death comes about six months after an alleged suicide attempt in May.

The world is mourning the death of Goo Hara.

"Korean women find it more and more hard to report crimes as victims because they see female artists facing even greater backlashes & trauma because how the public, police and the justice system respond to sexual assault, and that sends a clear message to all women in Korea", Bloomberg writer Jihye Lee wrote on Twitter.

Despite the challenges that Goo Hara was facing in her personal life, the star had scheduled a music tour in Japan and a new single for the Japanese market.

For those who don't know, the 36-year-old is known to be very close with the former KARA member, appearing in several shows like "Knowing Brothers" and "A Style For You".
