Terrelle Pryor in critical condition after stabbing

Former NFL wide receiver Terrelle Pryor has been arrested after an altercation at a Pittsburgh apartment, according to the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, and is facing charges of simple assault.

WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh was the first to break the news.

Sources tell Pittsburgh's Action News 4 a woman is in custody at Pittsburgh Police headquarters in connection with the stabbing.

Pryor was taken by the Raiders in the third round of the 2011 NFL Supplemental Draft following a successful collegiate career at Ohio State. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Saturday morning that a close family friend of Pryor believes he will survive the stabbing. He signed with the Washington Redskins in 2017 and later spent time with the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars. He had 14 catches for 235 yards and two touchdowns in six games with Gang Green. He never really found a home at the quarterback position and switched to wide-receiver where he broke out in 2016 with the Cleveland Browns.
