Today we have news that Google Stadia is finally getting achievements.

Google has acquired Typhoon Studios, the independent developer behind the upcoming Journey to the Savage Planet, to help create games for the streaming service Stadia. Clicking one of those Achievements loads a detailed explanation of it.

Achievements have become a big thing in the gaming landscape since the mid 2000s and nowadays, all games launch with them across major platforms, with the exception of the a Nintendo Switch. Those using the mobile app, however, don't have access to Achievements until 2020.

In the latest update, the Google Stadia players can open their account on google chrome or chrome cast and check their achievements. For now, you're limited to the Chromecast Ultra and Chrome browser viewing. Alarms show up at the highest point of the screen and tapping the Stadia button on the Controller will show more subtleties. Further, Google also promised that players' achievement during the Stadia launch will be kept in record until the achievements system arrives.

While Stadia came up short on a UI for showing accomplishments at dispatch, Google has been recording them from the beginning. Some users have already earned the badge, and Google is set to explain how you go about receiving what it classes as a "distinction" in the near future.

Be sure to check the Stadia Store for when these deals expire (and new ones appear).
