Marvel Drops Synopses For Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki

A new WandaVision synopsis was released by Marvel Studios and Disney Plus in coordination with a new Super Bowl TV spot that shows Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch in the original and iconic comic book costume.

Disney+ has been pretty quiet since the first season of The Mandalorian ended but that all changes later this year with the launch of new Marvel Studios TV shows The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and WandaVision. We do know Falcon and Winter Soldier is scheduled for the fall (autumn), but WandaVision is just "late 2020" for now and Loki might not be added until 2021.

The spot started with the Falcon (portrayed by Anthony Mackie) wrenching Captain America's iconic star-spangled shield from a tree and then hurtling the unique weapon. It's nearly blink-and-you-miss-it, but the quick clip features a character who will be key to the Falcon and Winter Solder series: U.S. Agent. Rounding out the cast are a pair of Marvel actors last seen in 2016's Captain America: Civil War: Daniel Bruhl as the villainous Zemo and Emily VanCamp as ex-S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Sharon Carter. The show will, of course, take place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, where the now old Steve Rogers showed up after living his life with Peggy to gift his shield to his good friend Sam. The synopsis also teases Wanda's reality warping powers. There's only a shot of that, but when you have Tom Hiddleston, what more do you need?

Sharp-eyed fans have ID'd this as the Time Variance Authority, a group of alien bureaucrats that stop time travellers from messing up the future. After all, Loki's survival has been one of Endgame's biggest question marks and, with the Black Widow film going back chronologically, anything is possible.
