Andre Iguodala to the Heat turns into six-player trade

Andre Iguodala's former teammates on the Memphis Grizzlies weren't big fans of the stunt he pulled in demanding a trade and refusing to play for the team.

Iguodala is being traded by the Memphis Grizzlies to the Heat, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Wednesday.

Along with the trade, Iguodala has agreed to a two-year, $30 million extension with Miami, sources said.

The Grizzlies were able to get forward Justice Winslow in exchange to bolster's Memphis's young, athletic core for the future.

Clearly, McCollum is happy for Iguodala, but perhaps he's pleased the former Finals MVP is headed to the East, as well.

Winslow's $13M falls short of the $17.2M although he comes with additional team control that the Grizzlies will appreciate. The second season reportedly is a team option, which makes sense, because that's a lot of money for a guy who will be 38.

The Grizzlies had been shopping Iguodala ever since the moment they acquired him from the Warriors in an offseason salary dump. "I can't wait until we find a way to trade him so we can play him, and I can show him what really Memphis is about".

The 36-year-old swingman was an instrumental piece of the Warriors' five consecutive NBA Finals appearances and three titles. The forward has played in only 11 games for the Heat this season because of injuries. Those averages increased to 9.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists during the playoffs, when Iguodala started the majority of the games.
