Kansas City Chiefs? Super Bowl parade gets added excitement from auto chase

Authorities say a driver took a "joy ride" along the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl parade route on Wednesday was under the influence of drugs.

In the tweet, that has since been taken down and corrected, Trump congratulated the "Great State of Kansas".

"Your Super Bowl champions are coming", Trump said.

Reid thanked the fans for their continued support and for attending the parade. And the coach loves us. "One more time baby, one more time".

While there is certainly a large contingent of Chiefs fans in Kansas, the major metropolis of Kansas City is located in Missouri. The only problem? The Kansas City football team is actually from Missouri.

The parade will end with a rally in front of the city's Union Station.

Clay County Sheriff's deputies threw out Stop Sticks and several patrol cars surrounded the auto and stopped it as it approached the crowd near Union Station, police said.

Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas was quick to praise the officers who acted fast.

Some fans slept overnight and others began arriving in downtown Kansas City in the early hours Wednesday to reserve choice viewing spots.

Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu added: "I'm here to represent the Kansas City Chiefs". "I can tell... You must be a huge Fan of the team", one Twitter user said.

The Chiefs rallied in the fourth quarter of Sunday night's game to defeat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20.
