A fresh Windows 10 Insider build is now rolling out to the Fast ring.

The new designs, based on Microsoft's Fluent design language, have an animated, 3D appearance along with more vivid colors compared to the previous ones, which were flat and boring.

Kaspersky has put the blame squarely on Microsoft after a recent Windows 10 update (KB4524244) meant to further protect against an attack that exploited a vulnerable version of the Kaspersky Rescue Disk software has caused more system crashes. The first are now available to testers on the Fast Ring.

"The addition of color also gives a cohesive design language across platforms: the icon that's familiar in Windows 10 is the same on Android, iOS, and Mac, providing a wayfinding path across your digital life", Christina Koehn, Principal Design Director at Microsoft, explained in a blog post. All these new icons will also appear on the Windows 10X operating system designed for dual-screen devices.

Fixed an issue impacting Start menu reliability after upgrade for some Insiders.

Microsoft is aware Narrator and NVDA users that seek the latest release of Microsoft Edge based on Chromium may experience some difficulty when navigating and reading certain web content. Narrator, NVDA and the Edge teams are aware of these issues.

It's highly probable that Microsoft will be more careful in the future since it wants as many users as possible to be using its latest Windows version.

We're investigating reports that some Insiders are unable to update to newer builds with error 0x8007042b. The corporate's new working system can have dynamic wallpapers, one of the well-liked options of macOS. Some of the refreshed icons could arrive sooner, depending on when Microsoft updates the apps.
