The cancellation March 16-21 affects all classes held in-person on Beaufort, Bluffton and Hilton Head Island campuses.

Georgetown College announced that they will be extending their spring break through next Wednesday, March 18, and move all classes to online and other distance learning approaches from Thursday morning, March 19, through Friday evening, April 3.

In light of these developments, TU is implementing its social distancing policy, effective Wednesday, March 11.

Instruction will continue online only for all students and faculty.

"All CMU-sponsored events or gatherings of more than 50 people are canceled through March 31 - this includes registered student organizations", Davies said in the email.

Marshall University officials said it is anticipated the university will return to normal academic operations on April 13, or when university officials determine it is safe to resume in-person instruction.

The announcement said on-Grounds classes will be suspended for the "foreseeable future" due to the threat of coronavirus exposure, and all students are advised to remain at home or return to home if possible.

Students who decide to stay at home should be sure to take textbooks, course materials, laptops, tablets and critical personal items with them when they leave.

Students will be allowed to remain in campus residence halls. "To be clear, the university will remain open, and we are confident in our ability to continue to deliver on our educational and research mission during this time". Students have been told to expect more information in coming days. Information about labs, testing and other items will be provided.

Kutztown is also cancelling all university-sponsored travel for faculty, staff and students until further notice. If you are traveling internationally for either business or personal reasons, please complete the online International Travel Registration Form so we can monitor our travel footprint. The Wayne County patient had a history of domestic travel, while the Oakland County patient had a history of worldwide travel, MI officials announced.
