Calais Campbell to be traded from Jaguars to Ravens

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Ravens are giving up a 2020 fifth-round pick in exchange for Campbell. While with the team he was dominant, going to three Pro Bowls while accumulating 195 total tackles and 31.5 sacks.

When the Ravens didn't blitz last season, they produced a sack or QB hit just 15.2 percent of the time, which ranked.

Additionally, Campbell hasn't missed a game since the 2014 season when he was a member of the Cardinals. Campbell is the NFL's Walter Payton Man Of The Year award victor from the 2019 season. Unloading the $15MM cap hit on Campbell's contract seemed to be the only plausible motive for Jacksonville to move a player of Campbell's caliber for such a minuscule return. The deal would include $20 million guaranteed, according to Rapoport.

The Ravens will attempt to extend Campbell as well.

The Baltimore Ravens have made a major addition to their defense ahead of free agency, as they have reached an agreement to acquire star defensive end Calais Campbell from the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team also re-signed defensive lineman Jihad Ward, adding some depth along a front that struggled during parts of the season.

The Jaguars gained something else in this: draft picks.
