British Columbia health officials announced 113 new test-positive COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the province to 146,674.

1,496 cases of COVID-19 are now active in the province (69 of those are in Northern Health).

Within Interior Health, there are 320 active cases, down 15 from Tuesday.

Island Health identified the locations of 57 of the active cases Wednesday, including 42 in the South Island, seven in the Central Island and eight in the North Island. In total 68,366 shots have been administered, with 36,442 of those being first doses. There are 134 people in hospital and 41 in intensive care.

Nearly 14 per cent of adults in B.C. are now fully vaccinated (613,453) as second dosing ramps up (with 115,521 second doses administered over the past three days).

Of all the people who have tested positive for COVID-19 across the province so far, about 98 per cent have recovered.

No deaths were registered in the last 24-hours.

To date, 76.3%% of all adults 18 and over in BC and 74.6% of those 12 and older have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Total recoveries stand at 30,585, while total cases registered stand at 30,121.
