"I'm sure that Ayodhya will get the historical status of Awadh Puri without any of us having to cross the boundaries set by Him", Mr Adityanath said at a "Deepotsav" event held on the eve of Diwali in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya.

Eleven tableaus of Lord Rama were showcased during the event. Yes, in fact, as soon as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the Deepotsav after the aarti of Mother Saryu, the sight of Devaloka started appearing on the earth.

On the occasion, a symbolic descent of Lord Rama and Seeta took place, helicopter turned in "Pushpak Viman" and, the Chief Minister and Mahant Nritya Gopal Das did symbolic coronation of Lord Rama.

Meanwhile, people are celebrating Chhoti Dipawali with gaiety and religious fervour across the state today. Preparations were going on in full swing by local authorities.

The tourism department of the state government in collaboration with a university broke the record for "the largest display of oil lamps" made in 2018 when 3.51 lakh earthen diyas were lit as part of the grand "Deeptosav" celebration on the occasion of Diwali.

Yogi said India is emerging as a world leader under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Bank of River Saryu has been illuminated with colourful lights.
