Ant and Dec hit back at I'm A Celeb fix claims

"The last trial was impossible".

Sunday evening's Bushtucker Trial on I'm A Celebrity was branded "impossible" by viewers, after Roman Kemp and James Haskell struggled to complete the task within the allocated 90 seconds.

Andrew said: "I'm sorry, I'm really exhausted, I don't know, I'm really exhausted." he started to get emotional in front of Ian, Ian said "Don't cry".

The duo had 90 seconds by which James needed to unscrew his stars and cross them on to Roman, who in flip needed to re-screw them in his packing containers. Well you failed them all and yourselves ant and dec should sort this out or you will lose more than my views!

As James returned to join the rest of the campers, Dec sympathised: "Unlucky, what happened?"

Others branded the trial a "fix", with one viewer adding: "James and roman had no chance of completing that trial what a fix... you simply can not tell me that was enough time to finish that trial".

They had to try and unscrew three stars in the blue boxes, which were on James' side and filled with a crab, spiders and cockroaches, and move it to the corresponding yellow box on Roman's side, which were also filled with critters.

The pair seemed downcast after losing out in the trial and things didn't improve when Ant and Dec queried what went wrong. James snapped back. "Maybe the fact there was a giant crab in the way which you wanted me to carefully caress in a different direction while I was trying to undo a star in his face".

The pair have been greatly surprised by his phrases, however the incident was swiftly brushed beneath the carpet as they continued with the present.

Another agreed: "Has to be a fix on that last trial @imacelebrity!"

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "Impossible task that last one", with another adding: 'Clearly not enough time in that challenge.

It's not the first time the show has come under fire this series, after Saturday night's task saw the ITV series branded "cruelty to animals". A minute per star would've been fair, and still hard. ITV bosses clearly did not need some folks to eat tonight'. One person wrote: "Caitlyn is so underappreciated in there". Impossible for anyone to do'. Thought it was 90 sec per star not 90 sec altogether. Fixed so people do and don't eat for our entertainment.' speculated a fifth. James and Roman werent giving enough time at all. Think they are just hoping Ian snaps to be honest!' remarked a sixth. Another viewer said "Feed them all!" Nearly like you want them to be #Hangry! Take this as an official criticism! That was just not fair!'

Did you complain to Ofcom about the trial?

The final failure in the trial meant that Ian, Cliff and Andy would miss out on a roast dinner.

In the meantime, Andy, Kate, Myles and Nadine have been off on a separate mission in a bid to win care packages for the group.
