NVIDIA Announces G-SYNC Displays with 360Hz Refresh Rate

For the past few years, we have begun to see the emergence of displays with refresh rate that goes beyond 60Hz especially among those that are made for gaming. Said to be the fastest eSports gaming monitor ever, the Asus ROG Swift 360Hz is a 24.5-inch, 1080p gaming monitor aimed squarely at serious gamers. Besides giving you bragging rights, it's built with e-sports in mind. It will be expensive, as the PG27UQ cost roughly $1400, you can expect to pay a whole lot more for the ROG Swift PG32UQX.

Certain statements in this press release including, but not limited to, statements as to the performance, benefits, impact and availability of NVIDIA's new G-SYNC displays and the ASUS ROG Swift 360 are forward-looking statements that are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause results to be materially different than expectations. Hertz (Hz) refers to the screen's refresh rate, which denotes how many frames per second can be displayed.

Other popular eSports titles which could feasibly run at 360Hz on this monitors using beefy Nvidia GPUs include; Rainbow Six: Siege, Overwatch, and Fortnite.

NVIDIA has partnered with ASUS to bring together some of the most cutting edge technology for what will nearly assuredly be considered the high end for gaming monitors.

There's reasonable evidence out there that shows 240Hz monitors making pro players' response times a little faster.

While monitors hitting 240Hz are nothing new, and we even saw a 300Hz laptop screen at IFA back in September 2019 (also from Asus), 360Hz promises a big step forward. The G-Sync variable refresh rate (VRR) eliminates any tearing or stuttering artifacts for a smooth motion. HP also unveiled two new docking monitors as well as bags and sleeves. The 32-inch 4K resolution monitor has a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 10-bit colour panel. Those being the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG35VQ and the Acer PREDATOR X35 bmiphzx, both being G-Sync Ultimate monitors and priced well over $2000.
