Drake makes chart history - again

Singer Drake has broken chart records in the U.S., becoming the only male to score three number one debuts.

Propelled by the success of its accompanying dance and a swarm of TikTok videos of fans performing it, "Toosie Slide" has debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100, making Drake the first male artist to accomplish the feat of debuting three songs at No. 1 - and only the second act overall. Opening at the number one spot was "God's Plan" that debuted at the Hot 100 dated February 3, 2018, and reigned until it was displaced by his next Hot Shot Debut single "Nice for What" on the chart dated April 21, 2018.

And while the jury is still out on whether "Toosie Slide" will stand alongside Drizzy's biggest singles of his career (it's already off to a great start), it's clear he's willing to push this one to the finish line and then some.

Drake has apparently never met a record he doesn't want to break.

"Toosie", which spawned a viral dance challenge, dethrones The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights," which spent two weeks on top. The 33-year-old also earned two chart-toppers as a featured artist - and they are both thanks to Rihanna.

He's now just one top 10 hit behind Madonna, who has 38, and extends his record run of Hot 100 hits to 209.

Meanwhile, Post Malone has moved to within a week of matching the record for the longest Hot 100 top 10 run as Circles drops from four to six.
