The trailer begins with a shot of Lopez's character A.C. Slater taking off his sunglasses outside, while a group of students chant by their lockers.

The reboot will explore conflict stemming from when Zack, who is now governor of California, gets into trouble for closing too many low-income high schools and proposes the affected students be sent to the highest-performing schools in the state - one of which is Bayside High.

"Do you remember how much fun high school used to be?" Slater asks Jesse in the clip, to which she responds: "Can you believe that was like 30 years ago?"

The trailer also features several of the new Bayside students delivering singers comparable to the original show.

That is followed by a scene where a young girl tells a muscular student that he's, 'so hot and popular, like Justin Bieber if he wasn't like 100 years old'.

Saved by the Bell returns to Bayside with new leads Josie Totah and Dexter Darden starring alongside original cast members such as Elizabeth Berkley, Mario Lopez, and Mark-Paul Gosselaar and new actors including Haskiri Velazquez, Mitchell Hoog, Alycia Pascual-Pena and Belmont Cameli.

He scans a QR code on his tablet that loads his books in literally a second, but he complains, 'Ugh that took forever'.

Thirty years on from the original show, Mario Lopez is back as AC Slater, but this time he's the school's PE teacher.

The son of Zack and Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen) Mac Morris also appears in the trailer, as does Jamie Spano, Jesse's son, both pupils at Bayside High.

The original series ran from 1989 to 1993 and was a massive success.

After a 30 year absence, Saved By The Bell is returning to screens.

Slater digs the hole even deeper, "Then I just found another girl I really liked and started hooking up with her instead".

It's now unknown when the reboot series will launch on Peacock as production was halted as the show neared completion.
