There are additional free updates planned over the course of the year.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Nintendo Switch.

Following the new update, the character Jolly Redd will begin showing up in his boat to sell artwork to characters on the user's island. Players can fly out to a new island for a limited time and can look forward to a special visitor. You can also purchase uniquely colored furniture, however, there is a catch. However, not every single piece of art he brings over is unique.

With the Nature Day event now active in the game, players will be able to participate in Nature Day activities via the Nook Miles app from their Nook Phone. It offers players the chance to unlock new challenges, meet a friendly sloth, and buy bushes to plant around their islands. Fortunately, a lot of the upcoming events look like they'll be less invasive than the game's now infamous Bunny Day. The May Day Tour will be taking place from May 1 to 7 and will include a special airplane ticket that can be used to explore a new mystery island.

International Museum Day (May 18-31): adds a stamp book players fill out by visiting in-game exhibits.

Additionally, for those who have piled up the amount of weeds from picking them up all over your island, Leif takes them for 20 Bells. Players can earn wedding-themed items and take their own wedding-themed photos.

The free "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" Spring update includes a selection of new events and characters that will be in-game for a limited time.
