We will see mostly cloudy skies this morning with scattered showers. It's not a great chance for rain for most of us and it will end by noon, moving into Missouri.

Friday will see a 40 percent chance of showers on a mostly cloudy day with a high of 63 and a low of 48.

A better chance for rain will arrive on Tuesday.

Today (Monday): Showers are possible early this morning but should shut down pretty quickly. By lunchtime, these showers and storms will mainly be over central and eastern Kansas. It will be a little warmer on Tuesday, until the wind shifts east in the afternoon. The highest risk will be in the afternoon where a few storms may be strong or even severe, highest risk for a severe storm if there was going to be any would be near I-35. These storms could produce large hail and damaging wind gusts.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Temperatures warm back up to end the week with mid 70s Thursday and mid 80s Friday. Winds will also pick up, NW at 10 to 20 with gusts to near 30 miles per hour. By afternoon, skies should become at least partly sunny.

Wednesday will be the coolest day of the week with highs around 70° thanks to a northwest wind gusting up to 30 miles per hour.

Tomorrow night: Mostly clear. North wind around 5 miles per hour. Winds S/NW 5-15 miles per hour.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 77. Highs will be in the low 50s with overnight lows in the lower 40s.

Highs may reach the lower 60s early in the day.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy and breezy. A few storms after midnight.
