Quinton Dunbar wanted in Florida for armed robbery, aggravated assault with firearm

A warrant has been issued by the Miramar (Fla.) Police Department for new Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar, who has been accused of four counts of armed robbery with a firearm. "We have been in contact with Deandre", the team said.

One victim told police it appeared the incident was planned because the men involved in the alleged robbery fled in three separate vehicles, which were all positioned to immediately leave the scene, the warrant said. The police report also states that Baker directed the third unidentified assailant to shoot an attendant of the cookout, though there is no mention of shots fired in the police report. Baker is also wanted on four counts of aggravated assault. On Wednesday night, Dunbar and Baker were at another party in Miramar where attendees were playing cards, video games, and gambling. They allegedly stole $7,000 in cash, an $18,000 Rolex watch, and a $25,000 Hublot watch. Baker, who was selected by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, brandished a handgun per reports, after which he, Dunbar and two other men began robbing several other people of thousands of dollars cash, wristwatches and other valuable items. "In the course of committing the robbery, Quinton Disheen Dunbar was armed with a semi-automatic firearm".

The news was first reported Thursday afternoon by TMZ Sports. The Seahawks list Miami as his hometown. He was seen as tough competition for incumbent Tre Flowers, whose production fell off late in the season. Baker signed a 4-year, $10.5 million deal in 2019 with a $5.6 million signing bonus. He wanted a new deal or a trade. Even though the Seahawks finished the regular season 11-5 and won a playoff game, the defense was ranked 26th.

Dunbar said he was excited to be part of a defense that had produced standout cornerbacks like Richard Sherman in the past. Dunbar got his wish when he asked out of Washington and got traded to Seattle during the offseason.

After being dealt to the Seahawks for a fifth-round pick, Dunbar said in April of the Redskins, "If you feel like I'm this type of player that you tell me I am, why not show me that?"
