We are probing Lacazette over balloon incident

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has been caught inhaling from a balloon during the current lockdown set by the government. "It will be handled internally", a statement from Arsenal read.

The Frenchman, was pictured with a balloon in his mouth and is said to have sent a video to friends saying he was "at home, chilling and doing balloons", reported the Daily Star.

A club spokesperson told the Guardian: "This is a private matter which we are taking seriously".

Arsenal have warned their players about the use of nitrous oxide after Mesut Ozil, Matteo Guendouzi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sead Kolasinac were seen attending a champagne and vodka party in a London nightclub two years ago.

Lacazette was among the players spoken to by Arsenal last season when images emerged of players inhaling from balloons. According to the Frank website for drug support there are risks of "falling unconscious and/or suffocating from the lack of oxygen". All the Premier League players have been at their homes for many weeks due to the spread of the Coronavirus and Daily Star has said obtained a picture showing Lacazette inhaling "hippy crack".
