In a shocking development, young Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja died on Sunday afternoon after he was taken to Sagar Apo Hospital in Bangalore after suffering from shortness of breath.

Sandalwood star Chiranjeevi Sarja passed away today (June 7) due to cardiac arrest at the age of 39.

The actor had married Sandalwood actress Meghana Raj on May 2, 2018. His wife Meghana Raj debuted in films Allari Naresh starrer "Bendu Apparao RMP" and also played a lead role in "Lucky".

Soon after the news of his untimely demise broke out, the Kannada film industry started pouring condolences for him on the social media. Celebs mourned his sudden demise. My condolences to his family. Sarja was brought to the Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar after he complained of severe chest pain. Doctors began performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) in an effort to restart the heart but were unable to revive him. Before appearing on the big screen, he worked as an assistant director with his uncle Arjun Sarja for about 4 years. He is the nephew of Tamil actor Arjun Sarja and grandson of veteran actor Shakti Prasad, according to the Hindustan Times. "He was too young to go like this", she lamented. "Condolences to his family and friends". Chiranjeevi has acted in more than 22 films in his film career, including Singa (Sinnga), Amma I Love You, Chirru, Samhaara, Raam Leela, Rudra Tandava and Movies like Aake are included.
