Brazos County reports record-high number of new COVID-19 cases

The Buena Vista County Department of Public Health today announced two additional deaths associated with Covid-19 for Buena Vista County.

There have been a total of 307,810 Covid-19 tests conducted in New Zealand.

The state as a whole reported 432 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total up to 39,543.

Oregon Health Authority lists workplaces with outbreaks of five or more cases, and nursing facilities with at least three confirmed cases or one death.

The state is also now reporting "probable" cases of the virus separately on the IDPH website, per U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance. The illness usually causes mild or moderate sickness, the Health Department says, and does not require a clinic visit. Forty-one patients are on home isolation, and 208 of the total 264 cases have been recovered.

The number of new cases will come as a shock to many, after many days of single-digit increases, and an increase of 13 yesterday.

Numbers published Saturday morning cover the 24-hour period ending at 4 p.m. Friday. In all, 4,896 COVID-19 tests have been performed, making up 4.48% of the county's population.

There are now 541 cases of Covid-19 recorded in Tipperary according to the latest figures from the HPSC.

Local hospital officials said these are promising signs, but they're still concerned about the novel coronavirus spreading as the Finger Lakes region continues to reopen. The average time for contact tracing to be completed is 2.1 days.

All COVID-19 cases are community spread. The number that have tested positive since January totals 130,603.

The department of health reports the statewide recovery rate today as 74 percent.

As of late Thursday night, IL had 2,209 COVID-19 patients in the hospital.
