Eagles TE Dallas Goedert ‘sucker-punched’ at South Dakota restaurant

Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert was sucker-punched while out to dinner with his family, Mike Kaye of NJ.com reports and a PFT source confirms.

Kyle Douglas Hadala of Sarasota, Florida, was arrested and charged with simple assault, according to the Aberdeen Police Department. An adult male was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released. Video of the altercation shows Goedert engaged and face to face with one man before another emerges from Goedert's left and hits him with a right hand that sends Goedert to the floor.

Goedert, a South Dakota native who played college football at South Dakota State, is entering his third season with the Eagles, and in 2019 he had his best season of his career.

On Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN shared video of the incident.

Goedert is from Britton, South Dakota, which is about an hour drive northeast of Aberdeen. Goedert came down with a career-high 58 receptions for 607 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
