Reckful announced to have passed away at the age of 31

Another tragedy has rocked the gaming community, as formerWorld of Warcraft (WoW) pro and beloved Twitch streamer Reckful has passed away at the age of 31.

Bernstein's ex-girlfriend, professional Teamfight Tactics player and streamer Rebecca "Becca" Cho, also posted on Twitter about Bernstein's death.

Esports journalist Rod "Slasher" Breslau broke the news on Twitter after confirming with Bernstein's roommate and ex-girlfriend.

Bernstein went by the name Reckful on Twitch, where he was best known for his "World of Warcraft" streams and had over 936,000 followers. When I first started streaming I always looked up to him. Most not too long ago, Bernstein had been working as a developer on his personal online game, "Everland", which was set to launch later this yr.

His Twitch account was suspended temporarily this year after a series of livestreams violated unspecified rules in Twitch's code of conduct, PC Gamer reports.

Mr Bernstein had built his following in part by playing World Of Warcraft. Because of this, many saw Reckful as a role model of the incredible strength needed to battle mental illness.

Reckful has previously discussed struggling with mental health issues, including having bipolar disorder and having attempted suicide in the past.

If this news is hard for you, know you are not alone - and there is help for people who feel suicidal. "Ahh, I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with my insanity", he wrote. After a lucrative career, the WoW player turned into one of the most popular Twitch streamers.

"I'm sure I'm not alone amongst your friends in wishing I could have done more. Would you marry me, Becca?" he shared in Twitter with photos of her ex-partner reported and urged her followers not to pressure her to say yes. We here at Shacknews wish Reckful peace, as well as condolences to his friends and loved ones.

Finding an outlet to express the way they feel, thousands of players across multiple WoW servers lined the pathway of the main hall to simply gather and show how much the streamer meant to them.

The gaming community is sharing their grief at his passing. "I am actually day-to-day happy", Byron said in the video.

"I remember watching his interviews when he was on CoL, thinking he was so cool".

Wow just heard about Reckful. I was insanely insecure when it came to him, I couldn't even recognize myself.
