The Harrison County School District has revised its back to school plan for the upcoming school year. "The middle school and high school where the students are bigger and the classrooms are smaller is when we had to look at rotating". Virtual instruction will take place on days not in school (everyone is virtual on Friday).

Level 3- Return to in-person instruction at the start of the 2nd Semester while at the same time continuing to offer the virtual learning option for those who so choose that mode of instruction.

Teachers and staff are scheduled to return to school August 10, and the district will also be serving a select group of students in grades K-8 from August 3-7 for LEAP days.

High school students, according to the presentation, would have an eight-period day, similar to the normal school day, with a five minute break between classes.

Lawrence says the board is hoping to find "relativity inexpensive" resources for its students.

The presentation also contains guidelines of expectations for behavior and performance for students, parents and staff.
