Documents related to Ghislaine Maxwell's dealings with Jeffrey Epstein are unsealed

"All Ms Maxwell is asking is that this court have a fair opportunity to review the merits of the district court's decision before the deposition material is unsealed for all time".

The release of documents on Jeffrey Epstein's confidant and alleged accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell from a 2015 lawsuit was delayed to allow Maxwell's legal team to file a formal appeal. The stakes are much higher now.

"Ghislaine Maxwell brought me into the sex trafficking industry".

The email was in response to one from Maxwell the previous day, in which she wrote that she would "appreciate it" if a woman named "shelley" could come forward to say she was Epstein's girlfriend.

Epstein victims are fearful that sex tapes and photographs featuring them being abused could be described as part of the unsealed evidence and eventually shown in court during Maxwell's criminal trial, DailyMail.com can disclose.

The accused madam succeeded in winning a brief delay until Monday of publication of her depositions, which are cited in her indictment.

The existence of the emails contradict a claim made by Maxwell's attorneys on July 10, 2020, that she had "no contact with Epstein for more than a decade".

Epstein's alleged "sex slave" said she could only guess the age of the girls with whom Maxwell had sex but "some of them looked really young".

A lawyer for Maxwell requested an emergency phone conference to ensure that nothing that was supposed to remain sealed was released. Prosecutors also said that in some cases she "participated in the sexual abuse of minor victims".

Pending appeals by Ms Maxwell, Judge Preska ordered the release of more than 80 documents in all, including flight logs from Epstein's private jets and police reports from Palm Beach, Florida, where Epstein had a home.

Maxwell, 58, is accused of helping Epstein recruit and abuse underage girls, including one as young as 14, in London and the United States during the 1990s.

Epstein was found hanged in his cell in August past year while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges.

"You have done nothing wrong and I would urge you to start acting like it", Epstein wrote on January 25, 2015.

Emails released on Thursday show how Jeffrey Epstein conferred with Ghislaine Maxwell in 2015, advising her to distance her from his actions and discredit their accusers.

Maxwell is jailed awaiting trial in NY.

Ms Giuffre over the years has told her story to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, but no charges were brought based on her allegations and she is not one of the three alleged victims in the current criminal case against Ms Maxwell.

The documents released Thursday night have been under seal for years, but Judge Loretta Preska last week ruled that a batch of documents from the case, including a deposition of Maxwell and correspondence between Maxwell and Epstein, could be released.

Two documents that were not released as scheduled Thursday were depositions Maxwell gave in the civil lawsuit in 2016.
